The InfraGate is InfraReach's dedicated gateway/firewall that gives extranet access to managed devices.

Sitting near to the existing corporate firewall, the InfraGate acts as an InfraReach-only gateway to the Internet. Only allowing packets coming from the InfraNodes and the InfraReachServer to get thorugh, the InfraGate represents a secure entry point to private network InfraNodes.

Only InfraReachServer-authenticated connections are accepted by the InfraGate and all network traffic passing thrugh it is strongly encrypted using IPPower's Secure Connectivity Services technology. This way, no security concern exists in opening another port to the outside: not being a generic gateway, the InfraGate is not prone to hackers attacks since any non-InfraReachServer connection will be immediately refused and the connection is always initiated by the InfraGate and never by external componets. In addition, the InfraGate's code runs completely inside the hardware making it impossible to reverse-code and find vulnerabilities inside.

Through the InfraGate, authenticated connections become possible between the maintainer's PC (which can reside anywhere inside the Internet) and the InfraNodes connected to the private network devices. Ubiquitous access becomes a matter of a few clicks and remote control and management a reality.
