Relying on IP Power Technologies’s proprietary hardware technology, the InfraSphere security is implemented at machine-level: all security operations are performed within the custom ASIC processors that are the core of all IP Power Technologies’s hardware controllers. This guarantees a complete isolation between the security layer and the hosting IT infrastructure: nothing can be reverse-engineered, no entry point is available to either human-driven attacks or viruses, worms, trojans and backdoors because the hardware and software platform are proprietary.

By the usage of the strongest encryption technologies available today InfraSphere Secure Connectivity Services create an unbreakable pipe between existing networks’ endpoints to form a parallel environment that protect the privacy and integrity of the communication: every byte of information is hardware-encrypted on one end, securely tunneled and hardware-decrypted on the other end. The multiple-interface capability of IP Power Technologies’s hardware controllers allows InfraSphere’s Secure Connectivity Services to be available both IN-BAND, using the endpoints' standard connectivity when available, and OUT-OF-BAND, with automatic failover to alternative connectivity paths. Communication can be carried on most existing network infrastructures: Local and Wide Area Networks, the Internet, PSTN and mobile phone networks are all suitable to interconnect the controllers with different speed performance but with the same level of security. At every node of the secure network, both Ethernet and RS-232 serial devices can be connected to become part of the secure operational net.
